Join Nikki Massaioli for a 2-hour workshop.
This workshop will focus on the foundations and principles of twists and then applying them to a variety of postures.
Twists rejuvenate; they open us up from the inside, allowing more
space, more breathe, and increased vitality. And more than that they
relieve tension, can aid in relieving back pain and increasing
flexibility in the ankles, knees, hips, chest, shoulders, neck and
spinal column.
B.K.S. Iyengar describes twists as a "squeeze-and-soak" action:
During a twist the internal organs are compressed, pushing out blood
with toxins. When the twist is released, fresh blood floods the organs.
Thus bringing a cleansing and refreshing effect on the torso organs.

The expression of posture identifies the connection between the metaphysical and the physical balance of the
body. Wellbeing comes when an uninterrupted energy flow is established in the body. Frida’s classes are fun, releasing and energising, inviting us to re-connect with our spirit of play and encouraging us to tap into the vast natural creativity residing within. www.bodynature.org

Restorative Yoga encourages us to stay longer and savour the sweetness
of our practice. Often referred to as ‘active relaxation’ the practice
of restorative yoga facilitates deep relaxation, which restores and
renews, through the practice we teach the brain to be calm and passive.
Take the time to relax and renew the body whilst working with a
combination of yoga poses (asana) and breath work (Pranayama) to
stretch, strengthen, open and release through the entire body.
As we take the time to nurture ourselves, we minimises the worries of
modern life, helping us perform daily activities with efficiency,
whilst building valuable energy
“Detail and precision of the body lead to mastery of the art of relaxation”
B.K.S Iyengar
**Participants must have a minimum of 6 months Iyengar Yoga experience
