March 22nd, 2009
Join Nikki for a weekend intensive of Iyengar Yoga. So many parts of our life are about pushing, striving and working hard. We charge through the day only to collapse at the end of the day in a heap. Often we bring the same mentality into our yoga practice, pushing striving and charging through, only to get to Savasana and feel as though we could pass out! This weekend is designed for practitioners Level 1 and above to explore the foundations, building stability, strength and awareness. Working with the systematic method of Iyengar Yoga we move towards a practice that harnesses the mind, produces energy and allows the Yoga to touch us. Dates & Times: Sunday 5th April 2009 BOOKings are essential Location: Yoga To Go, 106-108 Crystal Street, Petersham Phone: 9569 0870 Email: info@yogatogo.com.au course Cost: $135

THE UNDOING OF DOING 29th & 30th of March 2008 Join Nikki Massaioli, founder and director of Yoga to Go for a weekend of transformation. During the weekend, we will explore the relationship of action and reaction. Through the practice of Yoga Postures, (Asanas), breathing exercises (Pranayama) and self study (Svadhyaya), we will begin to unravel the ties that bind us. In life we create habits; we are constantly doing. Yet, what if we stopped? What if you had an opportunity to be free and nurtured, with enough space to be able to reflect? In a supportive and nurturing environment, we will learn to stop, let go and begin to develop an understanding of how our practice can not only support us through our life, but also how we can allow that practice to provide space, freedom and clarity to all areas of our life.
Saturday 28th of January 6am - 8am & 11:30am –1:30pm Nikki Massaioli is the founder and director of Yoga To Go, Centre of Health and Wellbeing, a multi-modality holistic yoga centre in Sydney that is dedicated to the pursuit of health, balance and transformation. Her vision is simple but powerful: to share the transformative powers of yoga that she has experienced first hand. Nikki began practicing yoga at nineteen. Now, nearly fifteen years later, her vitality and wellness she attributes largely to her dedicated daily yoga practice. “Yoga is the most profound tool for growth, healing and self-transformation,” she says. “The practice creates space, freedom, courage and tenacity within.” Prior to starting Yoga to Go in 2002, Nikki studied with senior teachers in Australia, completed the Yoga Arts Teacher Training, and she has since gained certification as an Iyengar Yoga teacher. As well as teaching at her flourishing centre in Petersham, Nikki leads local and international retreats, workshops and intensives. Her teaching style is equal parts dynamic and nurturing, passionate and caring. “The best thing about teaching is sharing the gifts of Yoga” she says. Nikki is a devoted mother of two and when not teaching or practicing yoga she loves to let loose on the living room dancefloor with her two young children.

Yoga To Go was one of nine studio’s in Sydney to participate in one of the largest unified worldwide yoga events held to date, Through the collective practices based upon the sacred cycle of 108, we all formed a ‘mala’, or prayer, around the earth to raise awareness, and money, for some of the most seroious issues affecting millions of people and our environment. We gathered down at Bondi Pavilion, with the sun gods blessing our path on such a beautiful Sunday afternoon. With a level of anticipation equaled with excitement we assembled on our mats ready to embark on 108 Sun salutations. What unfolded was one of the most beautiful experiences, 108 people doing 108 sun salutations, united by yogis all over Sydney and beyond, one breath at a time we shared in spirit and union. I would like to thank all the people that created this incredible event and thank especially those of you from Yoga To Go that came and participated. Mala |
